Honeyed Distraction

A gentle touch
Of nectar~
Sweet serenade.

The affairs between
Blooms and bees-
Pollen love.

In the sunlight~~
The color and scent
Of honey on my lips.

The wind lingers
On butterfly wings-
A rhythm of blues.

Flowers open
Their petals-
I daydream
Into the aether.

  1. What a beautiful poem to read before I head outside to meditate with the rising sun. No blooming flowers though – because I live in the hot desert, those have all died. The good news … you wrote lines that will stay with me, until they bloom again. ๐ŸŒผ ๐Ÿ ๐Ÿ’— ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป

      1. The happiness is reciprocated. ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป Yes, the desert is very much alive, even when it appears dormant in the dead of summer. ๐ŸŒต ๐ŸŒž “Fragrance mystical” – that will be my motto for the weekend, and maybe longer. ๐Ÿ˜Š Enjoy!
