fish bound ferry
dropping anchor
egrets pull up the sea
Month: June 2023
Moon-bound
watery vowels
a sea filled with ancient tales
liquid sky arches
a horizon that unravels
waves prance, curling into
a bed of sand, like
blue irises promenading my steps
moana of gliding turquoise blossoms
ebb and flow to a meandering, pursuing moon ..
I walk into the flare of a lighthouse
a rush of salt on my breath
the sea the day I conquered my tears..
Crimson Collision
heartbeats collide
across time and space;
breathing the distance
in a starlight song
a dawn is born in the breath
that holds the heartbeat.
Stormy Showdown
Lightening forks the cloud laden sky
On earth scape, touchdown of thunders’ cry
Shimmering aqua from empyrean fly
Drenching the dry, drenching the dry
Mellifluous sunshine pours down
Summer heat melts away to drown
Acoustics of a cloudbursts shakedown
Earth and sky in a stormy showdown
Teary breakdown, teary breakdown
Crystalline globules tumble, gleaming
Tiny driblets, trickling, twinkling
Deliquescent dewiness, glistening
Raindrops gushing, slip-sliding, splashing
Tinkling, dripping, drip drop tinkling.
Springtide
Turquoise sky drools into endless vista as
Fragrant yellow blooms charm in the cowslip
Bees and butterflies trail scented fuchsia
An indulgent breeze tumbles as sheep graze, snip
In rolling meadows filled with amber gorse
Golden sunbeams reflect fine feathers on course
Hummingbirds feast on woodbine honeysuckle
As realms of spring unfold to bedazzle.

Morning Gold
In Aurora gold
Luscious buds enfold
Sage strewn
Springtime aisles unfold
Tranquil skies extoll
Lutes tune
Spills verdant threshold
kindled pastures roll
Glades croon.

Enchantment
O poet of exotic verse
my soul inhales your luscious notes
this spring, in your words, I immerse.
enchanting, these romp of interludes
a faraway descant that soothes, exudes.

Done And Dusted
When a poet is broken
Words have been spoken
Pages shredded
Ink drained, wetted
When the heart stumbled
With words, I fumbled
When things don’t feel right
Sadness one cannot fight
Sometimes, the tears don’t fall
One needs a shoulder to bawl.
I dip my pen in the inkwell of my blood
Wait for words to break free and flood
Opening the floodgates of my heart
Feel the anguish flow and depart
Then, I realise , it’s all been a dream
Things are just not the way they seem.
Weeping Violins
I reach
for the night sky
as celestial fires
illuminate nocturnal hues
holograms shine in time-lapse of my mind
violins weep haunting melodies
pulling broken heartstrings
silver tears drip
like dew.

Drenched
Hither, thither, run I, in the pouring rain
Pitter, patter, raindrops on me falling
Whither I sway, rain tangled winds carry
Slither I, barefoot on little rivulets flowing.
Drenched, loving the rain on my skin
Quenched, the thirst of parched earth
Branched trees kissing cloud laden sky
Trenched fields, ready for sowing, a fresh birth.
