On my own
I start with the flowers

  1. Flowers teach us the wrong lessons. Their effort and purpose is to reproduce. The flower’s performance on nature’s stage is done to attract insects to transport pollen or trick humans into germinating them. The pollen is the wandering male. The insects and wind are the pimps and the female flower is the prostitute of the flower world. The male stamen( anther and filament), is the slave for most of its lifetime until it makes the pollen and gets to travel.

    1. Thank you, Doug ! That’s quite some science and biology .. blew my mind. I just think we need to take the bad and turn it into something good for ourselves.

Thanks for sharing that information .. it’s dope 😂..

Are you huh .. a doctor of sorts ?

      1. Not a doctor. I used to be interested in Science when I was in High School and you could pretend to know something. The details in College and beyond were disappointing because there are a lot of details and complications. The societies of elephants, gorillas, and chimps have more to teach us about purpose and what happens when their societies are broken up. They resemble the psychopaths of our society when their systems are shattered.

Well, I am sure they are much better than our human beings, at least they don’t have that kind of greed for money and power that makes for so many wars .. I am sure they ain’t got no weapons either .. we have a rat eat rat society .. that’s putting it mildly ..

    1. Thanks , tnkerr !! I like that you found this simple and so true. Life is like that , that’s what me thinks anyhoo 😂 ., my mind sure works in mysterious ways ..where poetry is concerned I like to raise the bar for myself .. I think poetry should tease the reader’s attention and perception ..

  2. I’m not a graphic artist, and my image app is Windows Paint, and the graphic I cobbled together for ‘Haiku Slam’ looks it, That said, to see it go to https://godslaugh.me and click ‘Haiku Slam’ on the tabs line. If you want to use it, grab it. If you don’t want to use it, who could blame you? Not I. 🙂

      1. Read “okies,” assumed you’d seen the graphic, either grabbed it or not, so removed it. No doubt it earned its fate. 🙂
