A site like this is wonderful, I think Where there is so much pouring of ink We can write and just be ourselves with each stroke of letter, draw on each other’s strength we can share our thoughts for what they are worth forgetting there is sadness and just feeling the mirth in the flow of emotions that we continue to share we unlock our hearts to no longer feel despair we can’t see each other yet we can connect across oceans, seas, in places, with poetry we reflect scribed on WordPress scrolls, memories get filed the poetry I read here has me beguiled. Finding inspiration and hope from fellow poets they pull me out when I am at my lowest we can rhyme without reason and reason without rhyme this rhyme and reason helps me dream big-time this trail of poetry from me to you across your world to mine , our smiles we renew.
Real balanced news, from heart to heart, and around the globe. If we keep our sovereign minds from digital control, we have the power to overthrow the darkness.
Thank you for sharing the gentleness of your genuine heart , Lee .. that’s my gift for being here and I cherish this strong connection with you .. with so much happiness and pleasure 💐🙏
Do we really need any reason , I think poetry is as good as any reason🤗 😘
I have been listening to this song a lot the last few months, while I am missing Darrin. Then one of his sisters sent it to me as well, she said it made her and her daughter think of me…I told her i had already started listening to it! 💚
And finally getting back to WP, it’s been so lovely catching up. I love everything about this post, dear Yasmin. Thank you xo
Yes, poor Darrin had pancreatic cancer. It’s a long story. I took care of him at home until the last few days. He passed away 18 months ago. This last year I was busy with moving to a new town to be closer to my aging parents, and I was just too traumatised to gather my thoughts for blogging. But it just hit me the other day to get on here and check things out, and it’s been so great reconnecting!
It’s my absolute privilege to be here! And thank you for the other link, I will check it out.
💚💚
I am truly sorry for your loss, Venessa. You did your best. We can’t help these things. What happens has to happen. It’s good that you closer to your parents now.
Being here helps. It’s a good feeling knowing that you are here. Just take it easy. 🤗😘
This is so true Yassy. Humanity is unmasked in poetry and writing here. This is the only virtual world that feels honest and real. I find that the real world forces me to wear a mask that is becoming so heavy. People are incredibly complex but I think most of that complexity stems from layering up just to deal with the other layers. It’s becoming worse with social media. We are not designed to live in the modern world which we have created. In here the masks are off and I see real souls everywhere that I read. It’s so refreshing and inspiring. Love you ❤️
Exactly. You can’t be real in a real world. We always have to toe the line. Not be ourselves so it becomes difficult to be who we are so as not to offend people.
We can be honest with each other here through our poetry. 🤗thank you , Kate. Love you , girl 😘
So much more honest, raw, caring and kind than any other social media site. This is a wonderful community that I call home. Glad you’re a part of it Yassy! 🤗❤️

Lovely put! And this whole Keane album is perfect for train travelling. Listened there first when it was new about 14 years ago. Good memories!
