Don’t Ride ‘em Cowboy

A cowboy got thrown from a bucking horse
Crash landing his buckaroo arse

He’s screaming himself hoarse
To find himself off course

The crowd calls him a rodeo farce .

      1. So happy to hear from you. Yes, we have so much to be thankful for. I am glad you are okay. Be well my dear. That’s important.

  1. Your poem takes me back to a unique experience I once had – visiting a prison rodeo. Interestingly, the prison was situated across the river from one of our farms. As a private pilot, I frequently flew my father to the farm several times a month. Years later, Richard Pryor and Gene Wilder starred in a film about a prison rodeo, which vividly brought back my recollections of that bizarre event. Your poem has rekindled memories I had all but forgotten.

    1. Thank you for sharing.

I have binged on western novels. Read a lot of Louis l’amour westerns.

Interesting to know that you are a flyer.

Bizarre ? I hope nothing untoward happened to you guys.
