Thunderstorm

thunderstorm-
the sound of rain
on the sea
foghorn lights up
tides curve the
lighthouse path

rain swings over earth
going into the soil
nourishing, awakening
to push touch roots to blossom
taking and making into creation

a silver fountain of
vanilla constellations
waltz out of sight

I dream in a rainy sky.

  1. Yassy, greetings Hestia 🙂
You hit the spot incredibly…it’s night in the Czech Republic, it’s raining after a long drought, the air has freshened up and suddenly..Your poem, great. Thanks for it!

  2. “a silver fountain of vanilla constellations waltz out of sight” – those lines were my favorites. I dream with you and envision those vanilla constellations! Beautiful writing, Yassy.

      1. Hi Yassy, We have hot summers with thunderstorms. Our average summer temperatures are about 32 to 35 degrees Celsius. Our winters are mild in the day time with average highs of about 23 to 25 degrees Celsius but it is cold over night, occasionally dropping to below freezing. Our winters are very dry and we get no rain at all.
