Heartbreaking when friends don't talk anymore
Makes your heart all achy and sore.
Writing poetry is not so much fun
When the words , they don't come.
It's like watching the slowly falling rain
You feel the tears, yet not lose the pain.
I feel like a soul that's misunderstood
Trying my best to make it look good.
I try to hide myself inside my woe
It's best not to let it show.
My hands are empty but filled with words
I cling to the words that can't be heard.
The ink will not dry, the time will not pass
Your forever presence in my life my life will surpass.

Two of the most difficult things to deal with Yassy: friends not communicating with ya and when the written word doesn’t come as easy to you as you’d hoped! ๐โค๏ธ Heartbreaking and so eloquent!! ๐โค๏ธ๐๐

Hey Yassy,
I heard you! Love the poem. I hope you donโt give up on your friends. Sometimes they are not ready to talk or share because they donโt get where you are coming from. Be patient. If you make yourself available for them to lean on you, they will come back, on their own, and truly get the value of your friendship. Keep writing!

Remarkable and painful. An easygoing rhyme scheme gives this a solid gait, but doesn’t ever feel tacky. Lovely work, as always.

You don’t “like’ a poem like this. It’s sad. Another situation I’ve seen is when people are talking but they’re not listening. Appearance of contact but no connection.

I love conversation. I miss the days of long talks, chess games and seeking/walking on a beach or into the forest. Hello dear Yassy. Before the coronavirus. I would go to poetry groups three times monthly, to learn something to discuss everything. Maybe we need to create a group. Talk poetry and life/song. Everything. Good morning from Michigan.

I love conversation too. Itโs beautiful to talk. I mean .. itโs the way one can truly bond. Yes, somehow a sadness has overtaken me. I donโt know how I will get past this. The writing helps. Yes, I miss walking on the beach .. just seeing people smiling at them .. itโs all lost now. Thank you for sharing this.. your thoughts are beautiful..

Won’t be long dear Yassy. Spring is coming and we must seek the sea and places we enjoy. We must seek the happy places sometimes.

In my personal experience, it’s really true. We always thought our close friends will be there at all times but when the time comes for us to set apart, it always gets us heartbroken.

So touching Yassy, how I missed reading your amazing words. I look at good poetry like good friends, the feelings are never lost and it can be picked up where it left off. I read words in silence but they ring loud in the heart.๐น. And this spoke volumes.
