découpage

Trellis swathed in tulle
Draped with mauve and russet hues
Ring-a-ring of wild blossoms
In winds that spill prose
Auburn flushed tangled trees gleam
Paths mapped by pirouetting wings

Exploding to song
On a chrome mist of thyme scents
Cascading landscapes' prism
Lacquered in aurum
A finger painted sky lore
Where autumn bonfires smoke.

  1. A beautiful example of the Choka form, Yasmin. A colored tapestry of sights, sounds, and smells creates a wonderfully moving scene. The transcendent tone allows the reader to find their own pearls of phrase and form that stick to them like honey. Loved this!
