Racism

Red is the colour
Of blood that flows in our veins
It is not black, white
Black, white is not a colour
Just the darkness in our minds.

  1. Oh my little Yassy–I’m always heartened to see you–and this is a perfect, heartfelt poem, well done, dear heart ❤ (and if you're counting, I used "heart" 3 times!)💖💖💖

  2. Very timely to pull this out of your archives at this time, Yassy. Ah, if only the Light of Christ could chase away all the darkness in the minds of us all. We are made in His image… we all are God’s children. We need to acknowledge and remember that and act accordingly. When will we ever learn??

  3. We should appreciate the diversity we have, it would have been boring without it! 🙈 no matter where you are from LOVE YOU, EVERY ONE 💝

    1. Yes, what a beautiful thing to say. There is beauty in diversity. You are right. It would have been soooo boring if everyone were the same. Love you back.
The difference is fascinating to say the least. 🤩

  4. Thank you Yassy
At this time, in this season, it’s increasingly difficult to look deeper when it comes to skin colour. Just because. Yet as you so shrewdly remind us, there’s one colour, Red, that truly defines our sameness and it lies only skin-deep.
