If We Met

If I met you, I would be looking at you with stars in my eyes;
And I would feel my heart race, my pulse rise...
Meeting you would be like an adrenaline rush
I would hide my face so that you would not see me blush.
Maybe I would be tongue-tied
Stammer to say the things I feel inside.
I would feel the softness of your breath as you whispered in my ear
I would hear your heartbeat that to me is so dear.
I see you in all the things that I do
That you are not with me makes me somewhat rue.
I will always carry a piece of you with me
The reflection of my emotional sensibility.
To a special place, I make my way
A forever dream that I indulge in everyday..

      1. We just had a episode in my Scty where those staring above us had visitors despite the lockdown because the guy is a cop. How ridiculous and worst because they are from a area that’s cordoned

  1. Yassy, this is gorgeous. Full of emotion and love. You presented us with romantic images and femininity from your heart that made this sweet, tender, and perfect. Yassy n love sounds like a delightful treasure.

Sadly, it sounds like unrequited love, but it is love nonetheless. And that is a beautiful thing, don’t you agree?

Well, back to the poem. It was sweet, touching. I like your romantic side. You do love poems well. Hope you do more in the future.

    Have a great weekend.

Oh, a little advice, don’t hide that beautiful face. Let him see the blush. I am certain he will be enchanted.

    1. Love is a beautiful thing, Drew. I wholeheartedly agree with you.
But I think it’s more like an utopian thing .. like a pipe dream. I do think we poets , at least you and I try to make it perfect , but does it really happen i this day and age of selfishness , Drew ??

But it’s good to dream , no?

You have a beautiful wonderful weekend too. Look after yourself 😊
