When Adam and Eve wanted someplace to hang out
Where all of heaven's rules they could flout.
The apple tree gave them a pad where they had their fling
And then, generations of nations began to swing.
It was a new world order
Where even sin did not bother.
The veggie pea pod came under apple's wing
Turned it into an ipod that could sing.
A world of technology without honesty
Where peace was only text book philosophy.
There was horror of war everywhere
And from disease people began to despair.
The virus turned into a hunting spree
Bringing man down on his knee.

If they could see the world now, they would be frightened
Adam and Eve would never have imagined
The world they left behind
Is now inhumanely blind..

  1. The premise of losing Eden is extremely thought provoking. There is always beauty in your words, but the power comes from challenging perceptions and you have done that here beautifully. You are amazing!

  2. This one produces so many thoughts. It’s important for us to take care of the future; and in doing so we also help take care of the past. As our ancestors might be scared of this present, the next generation will be scared if we don’t start changing now. The key to a society is to be okay with creating a change you might never see yourself, and knowing it will help the next ones.

    1. You are right , Benjamin. I think in my opinion society will never change but it’s all individualistic , maybe the change should happen from within you and I know for certain society is least bothered about the well being of its citizens. So to each his own as long as you don’t harm no one.

  3. πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ Very well done Yassy πŸ™‚ I can’t imagine either. So much has changed in my life time. There were no computer, internet, cell phones. Seriously there were only 3 TV channels LOL πŸ™‚ Now I look around and think oh my goodness. No one talks any more. Young adults can barely look at you, or carry on conversation. It is as if it is slipping away. Older adults are scared to talk because of how cruel the world is. If you are nice they think you are going to hurt them. No, sadly, I don’t think adam and eve would have been able to imagine. I see it, and I can hardly believe it myself πŸ™‚

      1. You are not rambling any more than I was. It’s your blog we can ramble if we want to hahaha. We can ramble all we want at my blog too πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ It’s true though. I am anxious by nature, and if I am in a room with people I will get chatty. It calms my nerves. But people now, if it is more than a sentence or 2 ThEY get nervous. I laughed so hard about land line. You know some people will have to google that to see what land lines are. I still have a “hard internet line” connected to the laptop on my desk. If I have an internet issue, call the customer service, all they talk is wi-fi. They don’t even know what the hard line is and I have to (several times) tell them it’s not the wi fi signal. There is a WIRE plugged into the modem that is also plugged into the laptop. Some of them understand after a few tries, most are amazed because they had no idea about anything other than wifi LOL

      2. Lol land line is the telephone ☎️ that sits in the house 🏠, yes I have a router that does the wifi thingy and maybe he is the most sought after guy in the universe because we mortals can’t for the life of us do without the internet now. Now, how lame is that. But for instance I would never get lost in a strange place if I had google maps and an Uber. Lol , where were we, Maggi , ha yes , I tend to put all of my feet in my mouth and mist people don’t get the gist of me , maybe something is really wrong with me dear me , but I think if I met you I would still talk nineteen to the dozen, and maybe because people don’t talk where I live so I bloody write like crazy 😜, I am sure you my soul sister can get what I am saying ., okay you sound like an internet whiz. So so tech savvy my Maggie .. but seriously I have come to rely on google. And I used to talk to Siri when I used to be wanting to blah blah blah πŸ˜’

      3. Hahaha now you will have confused people more, I bet there are a dozen people thinking, phones that were connected to wires that sat in a house hahaha. I totally get what you are saying people here don’t talk much any more eaither or want to run away because they think you will rob them or something. I don’t know if I am an internet whiz but I do like a hard line hooked up to the laptop so when I have to do something important there isn’t an interuption in the signal πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ I love Google. It is a wealth of information. If I have a question, I type it in and there are thousands of answer πŸ™‚ I never had Siri until a few weeks ago when I got a new phone. Then I wore her out asking the silliest questions I could think of and laughing at the answers she gave me πŸ™‚

      4. Lol confusion is good. It actually gets people thinking and finding out stuff.
Oh ! Lol Siri doesn’t talk to me anymore. She got fed up with me lol hahaha but there is always google long live G. We have google because we can’t keep asking people stuff we don’t know so Google is my best bet.
House phones are telephones I think basically.. sitting in one place in a wall like Pink Floyd’s song πŸ˜‚πŸ€

      5. Shame on Siri, how rude!! I’m going to ask her why she doesn’t talk to you. LOL She said she wasn’t sure she understood the question!!! Maybe Siri isn’t as smart as I thought. Hahaha yes telephones were so cool. I have a gossip table that my granny had in her house. I remember when the push button phones came out. Wow what an upgrade from the rotary phones hahaha
