When I am on the brink of sleep Like a nomad trespassing the indigo night This journey that takes me to a new morning. When, in the fold of sleep, I hear Birds sigh to the moon's lyre As the glitter of nova floats To the wind's ballad pealing the eventide The amber of whispering breeze fades To the hum of Cereus blooms.. In the calm of a turquoise night Even as I sleep... My quill lies awake Writing the gentlest of dreams for me.
Metaphor central. Brilliant ~ George

Your poetry is out of this world. Beautiful, Y!

Yes, I had to carry myself into the other realm to write like you , D.

Hardly. It will take me years to match your quill. I am but a beginner, Y

Really 😳🧐🤓😱 you bet I believe you , don’t you ? You are dam good for a beginner with a Big B , you D

Yes, Ma’am. Your poetry is years beyond me, Y. It should be published,
LikeLiked by 1 person
Well, most publishers have turned me down, now, what do you say to that ??
I write bad poetry , I tell me😭😢😰😓😡🥵😤🤯🤬
LikeLiked by 1 person
Because it’s beyond them, too. I read published works all the time and often wonder how these people get published. Must be who they know or else they are self published and anyone with a computer and an internet connection can do that.
Your poetry is as far from bad as I am from the outer ring of the universe, Y.

I guess I am too lazy to self publish. I like everything on a platter lol , no , just kidding D. Far from that , I am too tired to even try now. It’s like ‘just go to hell’ if you don’t like my work. Hahaha

I’d buy your poetry, in a heart beat. Haha, Platters, eh? And yes, to hell with those who don’t like your work. There are many writers whose work I can’t stomach but yours is not among them 🙂
LikeLiked by 1 person
Well, I will drink to that , your stomach that can’t stomach some stuff.
Well, ask your heartbeat how much I need to pay in platinum gold ? I may have to shed a few diamond tears in the bargain , eh??

Clinks virtual glasses. (or cups)!! No tears and no cost… my wares are free to great writers!

Cheers to that , D. Your wares are free from wear and tear , I bet , no tears for fears and no cost at no loss blah blah blah

Yes, to the blah, blah, blah, why… that about sums it up

I loved math, just wasn’t very good at it
LikeLiked by 1 person
No, you are wrong , you only love poetry and you are good at it. You can’t love something and not be good at it. lol, Or maybe it works that way for some 😔

There is poetry in all subjects, math included, I guess… You have me thinking now… except for the part of being good at poetry. But I thank you for the kind words
LikeLiked by 1 person
And yes, there is math in poetry , counting syllables .
I can just about hear you think, calculating in that poetic brain of yours .
You don’t have to thank me and my words aren’t kind , they are just words truthful words , but you being the gentle person that you are , will thank moi all the same. I forget my manners most times , for that I beg your pardon , Monsieur/ Mademoiselle .

Thank you, Y. My mind is generally too cluttered for calculations beyond simple addition and subtraction

That’s all we need, D. Addition and subtraction. The rest can follow if they need to. Let’s clutter our brain with surreal stuff .

Yeah, I wish I could fly across the sea and put you to sleep , perhaps read you a bedtime story , I would have to be a genie in a bottle but Christina Aguilera has the bottle , no, Will Smith 🥺

Thank you, Yassy. I must write, I have just been really busy with my novel and it squashes all the poetry out of my head.
