Little Musicians

I am a listener of birdsongs
Their rhythmic cadence carries me along.

Drenching the senses by their consonance
Sheer beauty of lyrical opulence.

They chase the anguish from my heart
Refresh the space of routes they chart.

Orchestrating ballads as the sun comes out
Little musicians warbling in nature's hangout.

To harmonize the atmosphere
With sounds of goodwill and cheer.

In the soft caress of zephyr that carries
Symphony of ditties over meadows, valleys.

Across expanse of the cosmos
Embracing the world with melodic notes.

Without syllables in their descant
Their aria sounds like a meaningful chant.

The sky smiles as their laughter resounds
In empyrean's cerulean playground.

Like rainbow clouds that light up the sky
I scribble words in the air and let them fly.

It's like tasting the air, becoming alive
When birds sing, it's like a fresh round of air supply.

  1. Spectacular Yassy!! I was listening to the birds singing along this morning, it’s one of my favourite things to do when I wake up. In this new place they aren’t as loud as at home but they are here singing their little hearts away. Gifts their songs are, just like your words that you pour out to us. Such beautiful things they both are 🙂

    1. Yes, they are a blessing. The birds are . I wake up to the sound of birds , it’s beautiful , Maggi. I wonder sometimes what is it that they sing.
Thank you for taking time out to talk to me. I appreciate ❤️🤗.

      1. Hahaha I was going to type that too about what they are singing about but didn’t want to give any one the impression that I had lost my senses this morning hahaha. Talking to you my friend is a pleasure and a blessing. I would sit and chat with you for hours and hours if I was able 🙂

      2. Yes, you can write whatever you want , Maggie. That’s what friendship is about. Being crazy is fun. I do that all the time. Shoot my mouth off , well , I do anger a lot of people but it’s better to be real than not.
It’s fun talking with you , Margarita, I think we bloggers are so like minded here that’s why we connect.
But your the best my bestie I think 🤔
        I chatter too much sorry

      3. You chatter just right 🙂 It could never be too much 🙂 I couldn’t imagine you angering anyone but if you did it is in honesty. I would rather anger someone and be honest, that make them happy and be dishonest. The first will benefit all involved in the long run. The latter will only hurt all involved in the long run. 🙂

      4. Yes, Maggie girl, I do have the tendency of putting my foot in my mouth but as you say it’s in all honesty but I have never deliberately hurt anyone. But now I realize I have to watch what I say , maybe some things said in jest doesn’t always go down well , I guess my sense of humour is more on the sarcastic side . But I do apologize if I hurt someone.
Okay enough about this. Let’s talk happy things. Teeeeheeeee😎😃

      5. Again I never see you in a hurtful way, and can’t imagine anyone being hurt by you. You are one of the most sweetest persons I have met. You always light up every conversation!! My dad use to tell me most of the times if someone is offended it is because they were looking for or wanted something to be offended by 😉

Ok happy things…well, my new little home is full of wonderfully tasty smells. I made cookies, and have a roast cooking…yum!!

      4. So kind, you are and thank you. I so love the art form. I also really admire your writing and your style.

Absolutely! Names are given and changed all the time. At the end of the day, it’s what those names can do with their art 🙂

Yes , it’s only what we do with the art or maybe with ourselves and the peeps around us !

      8. Yes, but I do read a lot of poetry online especially the twitter poetry community. Lots of great poetry. Mostly I read on my tab because I go berserk when I go into a book store , I want to buy everything lol i totally lose myself in a library.
Ha , i am a shopaholic only when it comes to books 📚

      9. I real most of my poetry online, aside from the few dozen poetry books I have in my library. I also only allow myself into a bookstore once a year, otherwise I would not be able to afford internet 🙂 I’ve always been a book worm…

I can’t bring myself to do any other form of social media. WP is it. 🙂

      10. The real reason I do twitter is most of the bloggers I know here are there too otherwise it’s a no no .
Yes, books are expensive lol all good things in life don’t come cheap except dreams 😊

      11. I find I barely have time to keep up with WP. Another forum would split my time and that’s time I don’t have. More power to those who can, though 🙂

I like second hand book stores and my siblings and I swap books as we purchase and read them. Still, it’s expensive. Ah, yes, I’ve tried to purchase a few dreams… not enough in the bank! 🙂

        Liked by 1 person

      12. The banks are not equipped to deal with dreams, don’t you know , eh ???? The banks only steal our money and give us a little card lol omg I am going off track , well, wish me happy dreaming at least I don’t have to head to the bank, they can’t anyway cash my dreams they say not enough dough duh 😒

      13. True. I have an online, no fee, bank account for the necessary and the rest (by rest I mean what little is left after bills – coffee money, mostly) I tuck away in a fire-safe box beneath my bed.

Off track is a good track to be on. Don’t ya just love tangents and the places they take us?

Speaking of tangents, were I closer I’d buy you a coffee, I have enough for that 🙂 Then we could discuss poetry over coffee or at lip level with coffee 🙂

        Liked by 1 person

      14. Ah! Tangents , why yes, takes us anywhere , I may just decide to go the Milky Way , let’s meet there and have coffee and talk poetry , you can buy me coffee and I may buy you cookies , just munching a cookie man .. nah these amazing Aussie cookies I bought at my local mall.
Ah! Coffee I take it loaded with milk and sugar I have a perennial sweet tooth FYI

      15. Excuse me while make notes… coffee, loaded with sugar and milk, milky way and cookies (Aussie ones)… I prefer my hot beverages sans lait et sucre… I’m a bold coffee drinker, darker the better… but I will buy you one with whatever additives you prefer. My sweet tooth is similar to yours 🙂

      16. Oh! Do I have to make notes too?? Yikes knock yourself over , oh ! Thank goodness you have a sweet tooth, most probably I will be pinching your candy 🍭 hehe

  2. Musical magicians they are lovely just as you are a writing wizard when it comes to the world of poetry, your lyrics sing as beautiful as they do Yassy and you do them so much justice with your words. I love how you used such melodically phrases to describe our flying sky songs, simply amazing. Nothing like closing your eyes and listening to Earths natural singers.🌹

  3. Yes, your word picture of the birds’ song is delightful I never thought about it that way, but they DO “harmonize the atmosphere with sounds of goodwill and cheer.” What a lovely way to listen. ❤

  4. This is an exceptional piece of lyrical love. The flow is compelling and the rhyme scheme melodic. Such an easy read, yet so colorful and impactful in the words and scene that it sets. I think you can see by the comments that this has touched many of your readers. Kudos lovely lady!

  5. My morning always begins with me tossing bread and seed around the orchid tree outside my kitchen window. Nothing like the symphony of sparrows, doves, pigeons and crows to add to the environment’s smile. Gotta watch out for that cooper hawk though. He shows up out of the blue once a month. Very nice verse, Yassy.
