A satin scarlet moon roams The sky at night...waltzing across the sable aisle Like a bride afloat-her porcelain tulle trailing Mistral sighing on fragrant Golden Wattles Mauve clouds cruise rippling lea Shadow-dancing into trees Petaled winds peal into bonfires that hush Lavender blue eyelids flushed with sleep Spilling quietude of birds' floral tunes; In night's fragile darkness... Lamps flicker...fading to a waking night A Phlox of stars trip to a tune of lyre Like a 'forevermore' Heady my senses, as I sit in moonlight's lush I drain my pen of my ink And watch the paper soak it up I gather my scattered words I etch a poem..
And what a beautiful poem you have etched dear…..loved the imagery your words painted Yasmin!

What an imagery one can paint from this poem, such beauty and colors all around the bright sky. It’s amazing how you can use the sky as your canvas and paint it different colors. And the ending was beautiful, you etched a poem with your scrambled words, brilliant Yassy.🌹🌹

My dear Y, only You can etch poems more beautiful than the “moonlight’s lush.” Your poem, a jewel shining in the solitude of the night! Gorgeous!

The joyous discipline to craft such a work, evoking every sense – nay, demanding each sense in turn and then in concert – to glean meaning and delight: thanks Yassy. Such a Queen of Woven Words. May your pen always glisten!

You are a source of inspiration when I can’t write. When I am down and out and can’t seem to write, I remember your wonderful words.

You do write the most beautiful and descriptive poetry, Yassy. I think I have told you before that you remind me of LM Montgomery who wrote Anne of Green Gables.

I been voraciously watching Anne with an E on Netflix. Damn , I still haven’t gotten my hands on LM. Thanks , Robbie.

Very beautifully expressed about the experience of etching a new poem. Love your descriptions of nature, the colors and how all this connects with the human soul and inspires such lovely words. I once wrote a humble poem (wish I had your talent) also about the process of writing: https://momentsbloc.wordpress.com/2017/05/30/i-just-met-a-turtle/
