Honeydew dusk

Birds whistle goodbye tunes
For sleep demands submission
Light lingers, fades
A honeydew dusk
Hinting a purplish hammock
That cradles the stars
As clouds sway with unborn tears
Earth below thirsts

Waking moon quivers
In her flight actoss a black brocade
Taking a vow to shine the night
Fireflies spark a velvety horizon
Nuzzling a honeydew dusk..

      1. Ah, my dear, it’s a very warm summer here too. The electricity was off for three hours in the morning meaning no air-conditioning. I was not able to do anything. You have a fabulous week, my lovely soul sister!!! Know you are loved! Be inspired!

I can not see how this could be embellished: I am transported…but for this meal of wonderwords I would suggest a nice curry to evoke a bit of temple heat which light breezes might assuage – and forget not a small squeeze of key lime into the jasmin rice with chunks of just-caught fish. Let the cats clean the plate as you doze half-‘tween sate and daze. What a multi-faceted ride you wright with words wonderfully woven.

      1. Yes I do stay in a castle. And I have a bunch of duties so I don’t really post much. Night time be the time the count prowls [this sounds super weird]. Anyway, your work is art and brilliant

        Just that it has become very difficult to get time to read all I want due to my busy schedule.
