Birds whistle goodbye tunes For sleep demands submission Light lingers, fades A honeydew dusk Hinting a purplish hammock That cradles the stars As clouds sway with unborn tears Earth below thirsts Waking moon quivers In her flight actoss a black brocade Taking a vow to shine the night Fireflies spark a velvety horizon Nuzzling a honeydew dusk..
Beautiful! Your words are honey even when clouds sway with unborn tears. I love the imagery in this piece!

Ah, my dear, it’s a very warm summer here too. The electricity was off for three hours in the morning meaning no air-conditioning. I was not able to do anything. You have a fabulous week, my lovely soul sister!!! Know you are loved! Be inspired!

Thanks, Yas, I’m thankful for blessings received. Adversity has a way of increasing hopefulness and gives me many reasons to keep pressing (and WordPressing) on. I hope you’re well, too. Looking forward to many blue skies, sunsets and sunrises ahead. π

Life is a mix of both blessings and adversity , I think you , Rach, are strong enough to handle both.
Yes, WordPress is like my sounding board.
It’s good to talk to you. Take care.

When I read your poetry, Yassy, it reminds me of the works of LM Montgomery. She is still one of my favourite authors.

I can not see how this could be embellished: I am transported…but for this meal of wonderwords I would suggest a nice curry to evoke a bit of temple heat which light breezes might assuage – and forget not a small squeeze of key lime into the jasmin rice with chunks of just-caught fish. Let the cats clean the plate as you doze half-‘tween sate and daze. What a multi-faceted ride you wright with words wonderfully woven.

Just that it has become very difficult to get time to read all I want due to my busy schedule.
But will definitely will read all you have written by taking time off my work.
