ink on my soul

my quill spells my soul
sensations of the spirit
that which makes me whole
my ink trails a rendezvous
a pursuit of paradise..

i venture deeper
embracing my emotions
seeking language
resolving my lust for writing
my soul's sojourn into me...

  1. …and the stokes of your ink are spellbinding, and as you write each line of poetry, more of who you are is spelled. This has to be one of the most eloquent pieces about the writing journey that I have ever read. Oh, to be able to sit at the highest point in your mind and watch the flood of emotions and thoughts as that soul sojourns to your deepest places. I love the title, the play on spell and the trail of words that leave me wanting more. Simply awesome, Yassy!!

      1. You are most welcome, my Yassyermaid. I really do love your poetry and am always inspired to write after reading a piece you have written. All I ever do is share how your work makes me feel. Thank you for always sharing.

      2. Well, likewise. You took the words right out of my mouth, Al Pacino. Your Yassyermaid signs off here. Oh! This name is mind blowing. ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ™‹๐Ÿป

  2. Hmm.. The writing.. The last two lines of the 1st are too revealing.. I didn’t know that you started writing so early in life.. The last 2 lines give away the importance, the writing reveals the ka.. Again this is what i feel I could be wrong..

      1. Unlike the English language.. Spirit, ka is the vital essence, one which protected the divine spirit of the person Bรข is something that makes the individual unique.. So you must have a plethora of material. Hmm.. You were a natural one.. Weren’t you?
