a poem in my pen

I hear my heart beating
as I stand alone
with my thoughts
in the darkening night...
I hear the muted voices
of my deepest reveries..
the endless night
swallows up the
sounds of sleeping birds
as blossoms dream in slumber
I hear the song
of the milky way..

I look for a
poem in my pen...

  1. your pen” its your conveyer
your poems come from your heart
they then flow to your willing pen…

      1. Panoptes, a giant with a hundred eyes
        Directions whence he viewed disguised
Buildings built, schools, in his name
His ability your magistrals falsely claim
A rues to encourage students learning
If it works perhaps, his/hers discerning
But how you described that professor
A man of his calibre should know better
What err your grade, advice not disrespect
What you, and all students should expect

        Hasta la vista

  2. I am sure your pen is excited each time you pick it up. Your use of figurative language and description are envious. This is great poetry, Yassy, and a great description of how your poetic process works.

      1. No, not at all. You said nothing offensive or hurtful. So you should exchange that rotten for something fresher 🙂

      3. I think I know your friend as you two lit up my post the other day. She had the same feeling but this is my first time blogging and I have been reading poets like myself for a long time and I guess I have developed a style that is reminiscent of your friend’s love. Sadly, my love has passed and there will be no other love for me. Haha, Cadbury Perc, I like that. I wonder if I can change my name?
