Je suis marooned sur cette île

J’aime vraiment la situation dans laquelle je suis et l’aimer

Je ne l’échangerais pour rien

Vivre sur l’amour et l’air frais

Avec seulement vous en tête

Pas de faim me frappe

Tu me manques

lis-moi

S’il vous plaît.

  8.     Sounds beautiful in French. It’s interesting how the French requires a lot more words. The English Nonet poetry form benefits from the one word “Please”. The formal “If you please” of French adds extra syllables. But anyway, forms are to be broken when necessary.
        I like the inherent contradiction of living on love in the mind, but missing someone. It adds surprise to the mood of the poem.
