she dreams of

a man gentle and kind
but so hard to find

like a needle in a haystack searching
in her heart, this hope nuturing

wishful thinking, it doesn’t hurt
with this idea to flirt

if wishes were horses, she’d still
wouldn’t be ridin one , for the kill

wild horses wouldn’t drag her away
from the heart’s mainstay

does this ideal really exist?
this perpetual dream, hard to persist

    When we start believing it real
    First we need to Dream
    Have a faith in the dream
    See how we feel inside
    Then start accepting it as real
    The more we trust in the dream
    The dream eventually comes true dear

        Some are dreams
        Some just imagining things
        If dream is from heart in air
        Nothing ever stops it to be true
        Imaginations can fall apart
        Dreams really come true

      1. I hope for things to go right Yassy, I hope for the Cowboys to win the next game, I don’t ream those things. Hopes are more like wishes lovely, blow out the candle and hope you get your wish. ;o)
        Dreams are reality, minus the butterflies and rainbows sometimes because just like reality, we only have partial control over ur dreams. ;o)

      3. Your cute Yass, I’m not trying to be a dream crusher, I’d rather be a dream catcher and there is nothing wrong with a dreamer, it’s a drug and everyone does it. I like rainbows and butterflies but just like books, it’s just an escape because reality is hard. And because you said that about the Cowboys, you are my favorite. ;o)

As to finding, and its difficulty, might I offer this: Like a Needle in a Needlestack…so much harder than hay, wherein merely a magnet (or better an electro-magnet) would suffice to extract missing splinter of steel. Good anything is hard to find – and with reason. Enjoy your hunt.

  10. I believe it does exist if you are surrounded by like minded people but also the risk in this is you could easily end up deluding oneself . As some people play on being real while others genuinely are so give others the benefit of the doubt😏is it a mistake to do this? Quite possibly so😏 thank you for another great poem 👍

      1. I guess so, though was unintentional 💕 having said that I am going to be posting a piece on the philosopher Nietzsche on my blog this Thursday, so my mind is in that mode, well that’s my excuse anyway 😂 lol
